These books are Design Narratives and were created for the early stages of a Masterplan submission situated on the Humber Bay shores, Toronto, Canada.
The books are of a high standard, using high quality stock and case bound, hard covers with fabric wrap, debossed detailing and gold foil, for a luxurious appearance.
The submission was successful and the masterplan, with its new name 'Lake Shore Boulevard' has continued to evolve over the last few years. I have since worked with the Client Team and Design Team in generating a suite of interactive documents comprising - Concept Masterplan Reports, Design Briefs and Technical Reports.

This is a Design Report created for a submission for a Masterplan in the Middle-East. The concept draws from the site and its relationship with the landscape, sky and water. Many textural site photographs were used to illustrate this relationship, along with Islamic geometry and translations of regional poetry to set the scene.
The book itself is a square format with high quality gloss paper, three-quarter section dividers, case binding and hard cover with fabric wrap and debossed detailing with white foil. The brief was to create something classy and beautiful, with a hint of fantasy. This was achieved with the bespoke materials, but also with the contrast of colour and texture in the layout and the illustration style within.

Royal Commission for AlUla
Project:
AlUla Regional Plan
This book was designed for a competition and outlines a Regional Plan concept for AlUla, a large, mostly rural, region in northwest Saudi Arabia.
The book itself measures 400x400mm. It was designed with these dimensions to ensure that the plans within can be large enough to encompass the entire site, without compromising legibility. It is printed on a high quality, recycled uncoated stock, this gave the print a classic look, with the ink sitting deep into the paper and a parchment like feel.

These document suites comprise of Design Reports and Development Standards for each site and building category within the Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City, Doha, Qatar.
The goal of the masterplan vision was to show how the Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City can provide world class health care for Doha from a new green, walkable and well connected city quarter, to ways in which the campus can respond to planned infrastructure.
These document suites consist of a set of case bound, hard cover books with printed wraps and bespoke carry box and a set of bespoke sized ring binders with printed wraps and slip cases. The ring binders were designed to sit together on a shelf as part of a set. The content within is designed to be removable and/or replaceable as it is needed for information or updated.
